Catherine ZetaJones

Actor

Catherine Zeta Jones won an Oscar as best supporting actress for her deliciously villainous femme fatale in the 2002 film Chicago. Originally more popular in the U.K. than in the U.S., ZetaJones was first a hit on both sides of the Atlantic as the love interest of Antonio Banderas in the 1998 movie The Mask of Zorro. She quickly became an Alist star, often cast as a wily and sexy schemer. She was the expert thief opposite Sean Connery in the heist movie Entrapment, and the hardedged drug kingpin's wife in Traffic (2000, directed by Steven Soderbergh). She and costar Renee Zellweger both received Oscar nominations for Chicago. Her profile was boosted by her moviestar romance with actor Michael Douglas. The two were married in 2000, not long after completing filming on Traffic. ZetaJones also was a prominent spokesperson for TMobile phones from 20022006.

Other "wily and sexy" types: Angelina Jolie, Barbara Stanwyck and Lana Turner.
